AI Act: EU regulation on artificial intelligence
solutionWhen law meets technology
As part of the EU's digital strategy, the European Commission is proposing the AI Act, the world's first regulatory framework for artificial intelligence within the EU, ensuring better conditions for the development and use of this innovative technology. The AI Act requires AI systems, which can be used in various applications, to be analyzed and classified based on the risk they pose to users.

technology and legalityCompanies around the world will invest around 30 billion euros to comply with the AI Act.
what will happen? The impact of the AI Act on businesses
The AI Act will have a huge impact on global markets (as did the GDPR), redefining the allocation of responsibilities and obligations related to the design and development of AI systems along the entire AI value chain.
It covers all AI solutions manufactured in the EU, as well as all AI products manufactured outside the EU but placed on the European market (as is the case with CE marking) or whose results are used in the EU.
To introduce a proportionate and effective set of binding rules for AI systems, a clearly defined risk-based approach should be followed. This approach should adapt the type and content of the rules to the intensity and scope of the risks AI systems may pose (Recital 14 of the AI Act).
